yoga pré & post natal

Pregnancy is an extraordinary moment and a pivotal time in a woman's life!

Conceiving and giving birth to a child is an experience fraught with emotions, wonder and questions that can lead to anxiety. Everything is in flux, in the process of becoming.

The metamorphosis of the body during pregnancy adds physical problems such as organ compression, fatigue, stomach upsets, sleeping problems, back pain, heavy legs, etc.

As the name implies, this class is for pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy or who have given birth within 6 months.

The benefits of prenatal yoga help to maintain good physical, emotional and psychological health, ideal for the health of the mother-to-be and that of her baby!

On a physical level, the postures known as ‘asanas’ gently improve :

muscle tone, flexibility and energy, without putting too much strain on the joints. As the belly becomes rounder and the center of gravity shifts, the asanas help to maintain better balance and good posture.

Blood circulation is stimulated, and water retention and back pain are reduced. And not least, yoga strengthens the pelvic muscles.

On the respiratory side, regular practice of the pranayama techniques increases the depth of the breath and trains the mind to remain calm, which helps to reinforce emotional stability.

Mastering the breath is a powerful ally during childbirth, as it helps you to cope better with the pain, making childbirth easier.

Post-natal yoga is also an excellent exercise for recovering quickly after the birth of a baby and re-tuning the pelvic floor.

Mantras are a powerful tool for concentration, relaxation and letting go.

A mantra is a Sanskrit word that refers to certain sounds (syllables, words, phonemes or groups of words) which, through their vibrations, will have different therapeutic effects.

I'm happy to use yoga to accompany you on this adventure, which will enable you to reconnect with yourself, your body and your baby.
