If you can breathe, you can do yoga!
T.K.V. Desikachar

Namaste
Welcome to my home! My name is Katie, mom, wife, tax expert, viniyoga teacher since 2016 and ayurvedic nutrition and wellness massage coach.
I'm currently undergoing a professional transition to turn my passion into a commitment to helping people achieve wellness.
25 years ago, I practiced this type of yoga for the first time, and it really helped me to reveal myself. Being ADD and hypersensitive like my son, practising yoga brought me stability, confidence, letting go and discernment. At last, I was able to play an active role and no longer suffer the consequences of this disorder in my studies and my life. Yoga has always been with me, albeit to varying degrees at different stages of my life, but... it has always been a support.
Through personal experience, I've come to appreciate the extent to which this philosophy of life can be an oasis of comfort in our fast-paced society.
That's why, back in 2012, I started training with Frans Moors, a direct student of T.K.V Desikachar, himself the son of T.Krishnamacharia, the originator of viniyoga.

In addition to the postural and breathing techniques required for training, this 4-year course of study includes the teachings of Patanjali's philosophical texts.
Here are a few milestones on my path:
* 500h Hatha viniyoga recognized by ADEPS, U.E.Y & ABEPY 2012-2016
* 85H Yoga pre & post natal Green Yoga advanced training 2016
* YAH 650H nutritional coaching & ayurvedic wellness massage 2019-2021 YAH Dilbeek
2021-2022 currently in progress 2nd year physio patho ayurveda training, in order to offer you a quality service, as close as possible to your needs, with professionalism and in complete safety.

Aware that yoga is a tool for personal development, whatever the objective, I advocate the practice of yoga for everyone, including people with atypical profiles. This is the very DNA of viniyoga.
The practice is adapted to the practitioner's limits.

Yoga opens doors to self-knowledge as soon as the practice is carried out with regularity, attentiveness, awareness and benevolence.
For me, it's a philosophy of life that combines physical, respiratory and philosophical practice, which, like a Swiss Army knife, can help each of us to find ourselves in many facets of our lives.
“Practice as you are” is my motto! Open your mind and be yourself!
